32 of The Best BigCommerce Stores. Oh So Sexy
Categories: BigCommerce Design, General
It’s some tough work picking 32 out of 11,000 stores that BigCommerce powers. But I’m up for the challenge. Now, finally over blood shot eyes and a few litres of coffee later, I’m proud to announce that I have the list!
The struggle, the pain, the poor eye-sight. Yes, its all paid off finally.
Sorry if I’m dramatizing this post. It actually wasn’t that hard to find. Most of them are from the BigCommerce website anyway. Which is very good for you (and me), as my research abilities are really quite poor.
So if it was left to me, and me alone. Well this post to come would have been much shorter and not so pretty.
But alas. You’re in for a treat. There are some really beautiful, sexy, elegant, professional and stylish designs here that you will agree with, fall in love with, collect some ideas from and/or punch your screen in frustration saying something like “Damn you for stealing my idea you Son Of A #$%@&! …hopefully you’ll not come to that point.
Now for those that like details, you’re really going to love me for this next part. I have provided an image of the store, wrote a little spiel about it, and linked to the actual store where you can test out the design and function for yourself.
For those that don’t have a store at the moment, I really do hope this will inspire you to build one, starting sometime around NOW. Stop your procrastinating and click on the banner below, sign up to BigCommerce and then get back here for some inspiration.
32 of The Best BigCommerce Stores
One last thing from me before you get into these oh so sexy designs. Use it for inspiration in terms of design, functionality and a knowing that you too can build something similar.
But do not copy their ideas. Copying is not cool. Doing better than your competition, separating yourself by finding your own Unique Selling Proposition.
Gee, I bet you’re glad you read this before looking at the stores right? Sorry, I had to say it. Put a smile on that gorgeous face of yours and start admiring some of the work people have made out there using the BigCommerce platform.

12. yubo

In 2007, while making lunches for our two daughters, we became frustrated with the amount of plastic baggies used every day. The typical store bought lunchboxes we owned were impossible to clean, they collected crumbs and foul old-food odors. Worst of all, our kids were over the novelty of their lunchboxes less than a week after buying them! That was the start of our journey to re-invent the lunchbox. We knew there had to be a better way. We set out to balance our passion for the environment with our kids’ passion for having fun.

I can feel the inspiration oozing from you! I know that you’re excited. I know that you’re at least now going to take up BigCommerce on their trail offer right away…right? Good.
If you would like to add your smashing design to this list, please let me know and I’ll do one better and focus an entire blog post towards it. But its got to be good. Real good!
Let everyone know in the comments section your thoughts about the above list. What do you like? Whats not to like? What was your experience with any of the stores?
Hey Ayden,
You have done a good job of putting this list together. Thanks. I love some of these designs, especially for Eclipse Candle!
I love those designs! NobleKnits and Kiri Kids is brilliant! .. and I live in BC!
Very educational post. Your current Website style is awesome as well!
Why thank you Joann
Hey Ayden,
But what about http://www.gazebosaustralia.com.au. What do you think? Perhaps I’m delusional but I’m hoping we’ve made a site that could sit alongside the other top notch BigCommerce examples you’ve listed.
I still have to work on BigCommerce to let me into their gallery! Last time I tried our website wasn’t quite up to scratch, so no hard feelings. Try and try again!
Interestingly we’ve stuck entirely to all standard BigCommerce functionality but just wrapped it in a custom design template.
BigCommerce has been insanely easy to use and setup. Their customer service support is terrific whenever we’ve had a problem.
I really do see them as becoming a default eCommerce platform for small businesses. In Australia there has been a lot in the press about eCommerce really getting some momentum. It will get more and more popular so Mitch and his crew have picked the right time to bring out such a sensational product.
I have a few friends who are using Shopify and have also managed to create some fairly reasonable stores, so I might be tempted to have a go with Shopify at some stage. But not hugely tempted I must say.
Anyway, I concur that BigCommerce is excellent for custom design. We’ve never had any problems with any of the custom design work we’ve done previously. Fantastic eCommerce platform.
Katrina
p.s. congrats on hitting number 5 spot on google in oz for ‘bigcommerce blog’. nice!
Hi Katrina,
I might be a little biased here but I LOVE YOUR SITE. Yes, it’s partly because you’ve got one of those .com.au addresses on your domain name and I’m a fellow Aussie – but the design of the site is really good. The position of your header links, the main navigation, the feature images on the homepage, heck even having Olark on the site – it all works very very well.
Great Job!
Cheers,
Ayden
http://www.mykiddistore.com should also be on here – its a really nice site..
Hi Sally,
Indeed, your site is really nice. Should you (or anyone else reading this who has a BigCommerce store) would like to profile their store in a blog post, please get in touch with me via my contact form.
Thanks,
Ayden
