As a result, BigCommerce has closed the $15MM series.

With the help of their newest board member, Larry Bohn, BigCommerce wishes to achieve their goal of becoming the biggest and no. 1 rated e-commerce platform in the world for small businesses.

Essentially, BigCommerce will be investing even more money in their product to try and convert the BigCommerce software into more of a platform that will allow business users to integrate the platform with other software and services such as analytic, inventory management, ERP and various other software systems.

BigCommerce believes that it can go well beyond its current 110 native integration limit to a whole new threshold of compatibility.

The online company wants to expand and attract more small business clients and as a result, they are working frantically to build their new infrastructure and platform to accommodate the growth.

At the current moment, BigCommerce has a client base of approximately 20,000 which is a 680% increase from 2010.

Due to this rapid expansion, there are several positions that have opened up at BigCommerce. Positions such as VP of marketing, VP of Engineering and CFO have all become open for people to apply for using the careers page located on the company’s website.

In addition, the company is also hiring a large number of sales and support staff along with marketing and quality assurance staff so that they can facilitate to their new and much larger client base.

BigCommerce has made it their mission to help small businesses around the world grow. The company is always contacting its customers and collecting feedback from them in an attempt to integrate the feedback with the new product designs and upgrades.

This will allow for a more user friendly platform, one that is faster and more stable than its predecessor.
